Остров у берегов «Terra Australis Incognita»: мыслительный эксперимент Г. Невилла и политическая философия Т. Гоббса

Аннотация
Статья посвящена анализу идей философской повести Г. Невилла «Остров Пайнов». В работе исследуется историко-философский контекст повести, выявляется специфика взглядов Невилла на проблемы социогенеза и возникновения государства, рассматриваются особенности предложенной им интерпретации таких концептов, как природа человека, общественный договор, власть и право. Теоретический контекст рассуждений Невилла задается гоббсовским учением об общественном договоре. Невилл переосмысливает механицистское представление своего знаменитого современника о природе человека Опираясь на доступные ему этнографические наблюдения за примитивными обществами, Невилл в ходе своеобразного мыслительного эксперимента реконструирует процесс социогенеза и, солидаризуясь с рядом выводов Гоббса о природе человека, избегает пессимистического взгляда на общественные отношения без участия в них Левиафана.
